About the Authors
Meg Faure is an occupational therapist with a special interest in babies and toddlers – specifically irritable infants, sleep problems, emotional engagement difficulties and fussy feeding. Passionate about assisting parents to nurture their babies she has a clinical practice in Cape Town, writes for various media platforms, is an international speaker and has co-authored five books, including Baby Sense, Sleep Sense, Feeding Sense, The Baby Sense Secret and Pregnancy Sense (Metz Press). Always seeking practical solutions for parenting, Meg founded the Baby Sense product brand, which she sold in 2014. In 2016 she launched a toddler playgroup solution called Play Sense.
A leading South African paediatric dietician, KATH MEGAW has been solving children’s eating problems for over 26 years. She is the co-author of Weaning Sense and Feeding Sense, Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes and Real Food, Healthy, Happy Children.Dr Sarah Karabus is one of the few sub-specialist paediatric allergologists in South Africa and obtained her qualifications in South Africa and the United Kingdom. She is an associate of the Chest and Allergy Centre in Cape Town. Sarah maintains her links with her alma mater, the University of Cape Town, with a post as consultant and lecturer in the Allergy Division at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, where she has worked since 2003. Her articles are published in several medical journals, she frequently speaks at national and international conferences, is on the e ditorial board of local and international allergy journals and is a co-author of the textbook Allergy Society of South Africa Handbook of Practical Allergy.
